illuminations and "Mad Men"

Similarly, we know the commercial is trying to manipulate us, but on an unconscious level the commercial nonetheless succeeds in, say, making us feel inadequate until we buy whatever thing is being advertised--and the effect is all the more powerful because it is unconscious, operating on the deepest level of human response. The reptile brain makes it possible for us to survive as biological beings, but it also leaves us vulnerable to the manipulations of television programmers.

Congratulations to" Mad Men" for reintroducing the subject of Electromagnetic Behavior Manipulation back- not to 1970- but back to 1954 ..."I can hear The Star's Spangled Banner" through the tiny radio my dentist put in my filling" days.
With" Man Men"'s Season 705's episode entitled "The Runaway's" , a supporting character, who works as a copywriter "goes tinfoil hat" bat shit crazy believing his mind and other's mind is being influenced by a computer.
In the past, perhaps because i write about certain subjects -why, almost like a mad man! -people have asked me 'what is the Illuminati?"
But I have never been able to really answer them. Until
- episode 705 of" Mad Men" did it so well.
That. Right there- IS the Illuminati....at it's most deft..molding perceptions and re- emphasizing definitions - this is what a man looks like , speaks like , talks like who is insane..and notice how much insane people are concerned about the ability of technology and computing to literally effect alteration / control of another's mind...
In earlier seasons this character was introduced as a man who smelled bad and was un hygienic..Already associations have been "imprinted" upon the audience .

to reintroduce the definition /scapegoat of "what IS lunacy" into the collective consciousness embossed upon the i"crazy notion" of electronics possibly being equated with emotional persuasion
People who speak of such things are stinky
And crazy, perhaps even dangerously so.
