Process Cyber has recently built a virtual reality system to support experiments with artificial vision that bypass the eyes via micro stimulation of portions of the thalamus, a relay station between the retina and visual cortex.

With increasing research advances and clinical trial there is significant demand to better understand the perceptual and psychophysical aspects of "directed" vision. Synthetic vision can be transmitted via Occular Conductive Overlap of one's natural sight.
