Gary Rainy never held a regular job for long and aside from his time in World War 2,Gary led a rather lackadaisical lifestyle, years spent in fits of manic writing or deep depression and poverty in Santa Clara and Los Angeles CA
.His fanciful dreams of a Better Tomorrow segued into a rather respectable period of time writing about Futuristic Societies filled with rockets and space travel and ideas about a New Race of Citizens who found they had to separate themselves from Inferior Citizens who ‘s inner envies and jealousies about being" Less Than" Emanated past their private minds and into the minds of " Superior Forms" of Man
.Gary claimed that although ,"no spoons were bent" mankind was indeed psychic and there was always a" psychic war" taking place when a lessor citizen came across a better citizen, as the only thing a Lessor ever wanted to do was bring down a Bettor to their level
.In his first "big novel: The Bettors actually had to escape to another planet to get as far as they could from these Lessors who were genetically disposed to Emanating "bad feelings" toward anyone smarter or more adept or more physically robust than them
After publishing "Inway to the Enway" in 1957 Gary suddenly found the fame and support he'd been looking for during his teenage and early adulthood. His first love was Candy Joan ,a member of the *** who felt the glass ceiling of being a woman in Washington was holding her back from her "Betterment" and spoke rather candidly and perhaps incautiously with Gary about her new job reclassifying and CLEARING ex German scientists brought to America to participate in various Advanced Technology Programs as reparation... although Candy Rainy was all for the American Way she was also fascinated by Gary's New Way of Measuring the world with Science based thought and the scientific distinctions between "people Like Us" and "People Like Them"
"The division of Types" according to Gary did not have as much to do with race or creed but with brain signals and the emanations from these signals, which according to Gary were the essence of "soul
"Early on Gary experimented with electrodes and EEG discarded by teams of Discrete Scientists who also based their notions of the worth of a man on hard science based on detection of interior automatic response and not on outward appearance. The study of Inside Intentions (what one THOUGHT and NOT what ONE DID was what mattered AND NOT the other way around)..Neuronautics(the study of neurons) used exploratory signal systems based upon man’s biological response to induced stimuli as a way to begin categorizing men and women into "Types and "Styles of Thought Process"" to indicate scientifically just where certain men and woman could be categorized on what he called" The Dynamic Scale of Beingness/"
After finding a large storefront in Hollywood CA Gary put his notions into practice using what he called See-Meters to detect subtle but trace-able normalities or aberrations to standard stimuli.Initially the small gatherings in the storefront were essentially "bookclubs" and face to face "readings"..Eventually enough "like thinkers" gathered consistently enough that the Newly named "Movement, now called Neuronautics began instituting guidelines and executive committees to help keep the small group congealed . To bring in new members Gary and Candy prepared invitations which each committee member gave to friends asking them to attend the groups monthly public meetings/
