   Gary Rainy felt that Neuronautics had not only the right but the divine duty to protect it's own.

   And the walls surrounding  the " base camp" in the California desert grew ever higher and higher.

   After Gary Rainey's death the Ranch became more important than the Annexes that were  once so important to spreading the "word" .The Organizational members who secured the premises were more and more about keeping people out rather  than letting newcomers in.After all the lectures were all on tape,all the books that would be written about Neuronautics were written. Even Gary Rainy's Neural Reads were "on disk" There was little left "to do" but keep cohesion in the group.To nobody's surprise Gary left "the assets and the Neuronautic's brand to Raven DeClaridge and not his son Evan.

                           

             1989

     Raven Declaridge had gone to LA to become an actor upon graduating High school but found he did not have either the drive or the ambition to "be" anything other than what he was and what Raven Declaridge  was ,in his own words was a jerk and a bully. Raven found that most "in charge" of The Industry of Tv and Film were used to actors practically licking their shoes  and Raven quickly decided that rather than act he wanted instead to be one of the "in charge: types who these beautiful people with a knack for pretending "fell all over themselves "for "to get 'the part".Raven Declaridge
however had no idea "How" or "What" one had to do to become a Producer. It did not seem like the type of job one went to school for...and for quite awhile Raven was disheartened and spent his days driving up and around Hollywood working a couple of weeks here and there on the fringe of the "Industry" he grew to despise. Often he slept in his car, often he left his odd jobs mid way through the first day...

    One day a pretty girl "spotted him" on the streets of Sunset Blvd leaning against a newspaper bin absently reading want ads. The pretty girl asked him if he wanted a job handing out pamphlets.

   "Fuck no,"Raven told "the girl" her called herself Janice but quickly apologized after giving her a "once more" over.Raven liked her look.A blue tailored dress suit .A crisp white blouse with a tie.Her hair pulled back in a bun .She almost looked "Militaristic and "Mutinous" at the same time.Mutinous because she obviously did not seem to care about "looking like most of 'the girls" in Hollywood or LA for that matter.

"  You don't really seem like the pamphlet pushing type ..what kind  of job might you be interested in.?"She asked tapping the want ads in his hand.

  "Really?,"Raven thought and than said. "Actually .I'd like to be a TV and film producer, think you can arrange that,"he said sarcastically.

"Today might just be your lucky day.One of our videographers is sick and GR is giving a lecture at the new Centurion Center"

"GR?"Raven said.

"Gary Rainy ...You must of heard of Gary Rainy.,"Janice said.Lots of celebrities will be there .The Centurion Center is mainly for Celebrity Neuronauts.Ever use a video recorder before?"

  That evening Raven filmed "GR" and almost from the second they shook hands Raven knew that all his life before meeting GR had simply been leading up to this meeting.Gary Rainy told Raven he "felt" something in Raven's handshake that said," I don't give a fuck if this man likes me or hates me."

Raven ,in a rare moment of candor that GR seemed to bring out in him ,said, "But I did care if you liked me and typically you are right I never care."

Gary noticed that since even before they shook hands that Raven had established a type of eye contact with him that did not seem to take away anything from his" Emanations" . In fact Gary felt his Emanations enhanced by this strange young man with such a strange first name.

"Where you living Raven?"Gary asked.

"in my car...and around.." Raven said

"From now on you live with us.At the ranch"Gary said.

"Janice says you want to produce films and TV..I didn't take you for some fruit actor type," Gary said

"Not all actors are fruits" Raven said.

" you're right," Gary said somewhat surprised that this young man was correcting him" Fruitcakes maybe not fruits....I was kidding you ,I was  testing you..."

"i don't test well,"Raven said ,hating the fact that Gary's innocuous remark about actors being fruity or fruitcakes seemed so......

As if reading his mind Gary said,"I shouldn't have said that...I don't actually know why I said it.fact is some of our most important members are actors

he  hadin fact only seen in actors on the screenplaying powerful

raven's father had of course been an authorityfigure simply because he
was father.
but .....he did not have an authority or presence of solidity that carried outside the fourwalls of theirhouseinmemephis ohio
neither had  raven found the dashing strong sense of "Man's Man"in any of his teachers,employers or anywhere but in books

The inner circle of The Organization thanks to raven's lead had become perhaps what Gary always wanted it to be.
A State within a State.
A regiment .
and Raven found that the very same leaders who had all but scoffed at Neuronautics and "their silly belief system "NOW saw THEM as something entirely different
a few were surprised that neuronautics continued to thrive after Gary passed on
Gary's investments and his holdings in Merge Cybernetics
which seemed  like    just    another     "spacey"     proposition   in the 1990's
now was all anyone in California was interested in.
Gary's "spacey ,silly " investments in Parasol Pictures thanks to Valerie Prentis ,Adam Parker and Raven DeClaridge had

gone beyond mainstream with their research and development with direct Neural Interface,Virtual Reality and A.I.

The sheer amount of capital their clever investments made

 

made Neuronautics a force to reckoned with not only in California but throughout the world...

 the 40 or so names that Neuronautics

had in the market

were a concession that Raven pushed Gary into making. Along with the 3 dozen or so lawyers judges and *****they had on their "roll call"

 

nobody seemed to give all that much consideration to GR's philosophies besides Evan Rainy and Valerie Prentis

 

Raven had modified Neuronautics more and more as the years passed

into-

as long as it helps YOU look for a power outside of yourself...right..

IF SOME OF US ACTUALLY STRIVE TO USE CERTAIN ANCIENT AND AUTHENTIC TOOLS TOWARD MYSTICAL IMPLICATIONS THAT REALLY REALLY IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS

is it ,in fact we no longer "offer" certain

parts of that  part of ....program

to outsiders......some have the stomach and veracity to GO THERE

some .

most do not..

rather than have our organization be fodder for some fucking Late Night Comic ...

we see Ole GR as a doting  grandfather sometimes eccentric grandfather

 

to a very modern movement

 

as I have said  if one chooses to look at Gary's Communion with an extraordinary Entity as a TRUE Breakthrough

                               to another Side

                                                or simply as

a fable

to help one see or feel or open another side of themselves

it works either way

doesn't it?

 

   The walls of "The Ranch" got higher and higher after those around the desert "retreat" complained of gunfire. But the local police claimed that Neuronautics had license as they had begun a corporation within guidelines and their business portfolio that now included Privatized Security

 

   Who could complain about a cause or movement that only wanted to protect and survey their own interests and the interests of us all?

 

Prior to 2002/2003 many had "come down" on Neuronautic's handling of it's internal affairs and functions. And many rumors had gone round the media (at the time) that the Group often treated it's members and specifically it's Ex-members with an almost barbaric yet sophisticated voracity.

BUT the change in the general atmosphere of "The Times" had also caused quite a few who had previously thought ill of their policies and "rigorous "Rightfulness to see things a "New Way".

In fact Neuronautics tactics of protecting it's 'citizenry" by Any Means Necessary became something of a "rulebook" for more pernicious means of serving the Greater Good.
