The intention of a post is often contingent upon the preceding post or series of posts. Without the temporal context in which it was created, the meaning of the post may be lost or, worse yet, misconstrued. Social media platforms do not provide a lasting sense of causality or context, unless one's typing and sharing style is meticulously analyzed. For example, Roseanne Barr's controversial comments on Twitter resulted in her termination from her television show. A forensic computer expert could demonstrate that the text was written due to Miss Barr's lack of awareness regarding a particular issue. This could be accomplished by presenting a comprehensive catalog of her exposure to images related to the issue to a jury.
