Development of Rapid Word-Object Associations in Relation to Film Viewing
Jake experiences difficulty adjusting to college and dormitory life, leading to a resurgence of his symptoms. He becomes ensnared in an online cult that propagates the belief that his auditory hallucinations stem from a satellite. Unbeknownst to Peter, Jake ceases taking his prescribed medication and attending classes, as the cult instructs him to share his experiences with "targeting" and "gangstalking" online. Jake's condition deteriorates, culminating in his suicide as a means of escaping the purported neuroweapon. Seven months later, Peter, armed with a knife, attends a rally against 'satellite mind control weapons' and fatally stabs Ben Glickman, the leader of the group who he holds responsible for his son's rejection of his symptoms as a treatable condition.
