It has been suggested that individuals are being utilized as a means to an end for academic gain. Regrettably, we are often viewed as mere statistics rather than individuals with unique identities. This perception has led to a dehumanizing effect, where we are seen as non-persons in the eyes of society. It is disheartening to be referred to as human trash or useless eaters who are only interested in playing online. It is important to note that the activities we engage in are not merely for entertainment purposes. It is unfortunate that some academics, who reside in ivory towers, receive grant money to study the poor and mentally ill. They analyze our communication, which they themselves have promoted, and create terms to describe us. They even go as far as paying tens of thousands of dollars to advertise their fake grassroots groups on buses and billboards, which are designed to manipulate and exploit mental patients. This approach is concerning and does not reflect the values of a compassionate and just society.
