Fraud aimed at vulnerable adults is an emerging public health problem as criminals become increasingly good at deception online. Our cyber- police force must learn how to think like criminals to protect the public from this type of online predator. 

Susceptibility of adults with schizophrenia was operationalized as by studying the number of link clicking of ads created to mislead the susceptible adult. Two experiments were conducted using a fake psychic and three others  to entice schizophrenic users to a site that offered DVDs about meditation technique to disable Synthetic Telepathy.  Participants were not informed of their participation in the testing for obvious reasons, nor were they compensated after the samples were taken.
