What is the amygdala kindling protocol?

Kindling is the process of repeated and spaced stimulation of a brain structure, with the intention of evoking an afterdischarge  with each stimulation. In classic studies, kindling of the amygdala increases the duration and severity of the seizures a researcher wants to study.
