Leakage is the communication of threats or plans to act out violently prior to the event. Leakage can be direct or indirect, written or verbal. It can be as indirect as a disturbed person posting an on-line video about mind control. We can deduce that the reason they shared this video is because they have experienced mind control: what I mean is, they might have heard voices they believed came from a mind control device.

We might surmise the user shared their beliefs to be found by assessment teams.

A cry for help to those the user hopes is watching out for them, the post is really saying ," I am scared. I hear voices and think I need to be hospitalised."

Having a threat assessment team available to evaluate the leakage and assess the needs of the psychotic user becoming fixated on false beliefs are key components in the area of threat assessment for hospitals, universities and in workplace environments.
