Implications for searching

If alien intelligence is more likely to be non-organic, what would this mean for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (Seti)?

In a decade or two, there's a realistic prospect that we'll have the capability to detect biosignatures on other planets – atmospheric chemistry or vegetation, for example.
