First-person accounts are an invaluable source for psychiatric training, but are these studies causing more harm than good. The social media is disorganised schizophrenia , if you think about it. The posts read in reverse order, ads come between posts. the overall message of hundreds of millions speaking / posting at once is a cacophony of gibberish. In a way the social media mirror the schizophrenic mind but it remains to be seen whether the as a medium ( social media ) benefits the schizophrenic.
Some researchers argue that writing helps schizophrenics as a type of therapy but the gathering of mentally ill voice hearers in online group creates a possible radicalised group being that many of the schizophrenics are being lead to mind control and gangstalking conspiracy groups. Venting, when is not met by any useful change in the situation , be it real or imagined by one's writing can soon escalate into a desire to act rather than type against one's perceived tormentors. The schizophrenic who believes he or she is a targeted individual we must remember is not writing to get likes but to initiative 'an investigation'. The schizophrenic in society is also one of the most stigmatised person in society. The schizophrenic's rambling outloud is something to be ignore, something that causes the listern to feel shame an disgust for the unfornuate and possbly dangerous person. Culture has taught us to both fear and pity the schizophrenic. There is little pity for the schizophyrenic who self labels themsles a targeted individual only ridicule and scorn. It might be time to stop studying schizophrenics and start simply helping them.
