Auditory verbal hallucinations have traditionally especially been researched from a form-based approach, with content getting much less attention. We argue for the importance of looking at content to get a fuller understanding of the hallucinatory experience. Guided by Lacanian psychoanalysis, we conducted a thematic and a narrative analysis on interviews with 10 schizophrenic patients about their hallucinations. We discerned five themes in the data, which were based on Lacanian theory and had to do with existential questions: parenthood and authority, sexuality and relationships, gender identity, life in the light of death, and what does the other want?

Advancements in digital technologies hold potential solutions to diagnosing persons experiencing delusions, paranoia and hallucination . We can exploit how smartphones and PCs both evoke and capture behavioral, cognitive, and mood information in an objective, continuous, passive, unobtrusive way. The use of  smartphones and PCs in psychiatric research has become widespread and yielded promising results. More and more police departments are studying the social media behavior of persons, for whatever reason, determined to be 'high risk."

Externally Addressable Smart Drug Delivery Vehicles: Current Technologies and Future Directions

Wireless on-demand drug delivery systems exploit exogenous stimuli—acoustic waves, electric fields, magnetic fields and electromagnetic radiation—to trigger drug carriers. The approach allows drugs to be delivered with controlled release profiles and minimal off-target effects. Recent advances in electronics and materials engineering have led to the development of sophisticated systems designed for specific applications.

Scott Syder and Greg Capullo's graphic novel "Bloom" showcases the strategies employed to analyze the measurements of individuals in order to discern the impact of group contextual factors on individual outcomes. Additionally, it sheds light on the perspective of Smart City investors who perceive the daily lives of individuals as mere data, disregarding their humanity, and exploiting the mentally ill for financial gain under the guise of serving the "greater good." Snyder's work also highlights instances where the normalization of exploiting vulnerable individuals, particularly for monetary gain, is evident, thereby condemning corporate greed and the exploitation of the impoverished and powerless.
