Beth Jekins, a psychotherapist specializing in false belief updating, has initiated an immersive deprogramming program for 14 adult schizophrenics whose family members, friends, or partners have contacted her. These individuals were ensnared by an online cult that indoctrinated them to perceive their voices as "voice to skull" and their paranoia as "gangstalking." Ms. Jekins has invited these individuals to her farmhouse in northern New York for a month-long deprogramming session to help them break free from this dangerous cult. On a crisp October morning, seven of the participants were asked to play the role of gangstalkers in a small but impressive three-block mock city that Ms. Jekins' contractor husband had built on their land.
