Marty F, a 19-years-old, is experiencing auditory hallucinations and is struggling to adapt to dormitory life. He has a history of social phobia and was prescribed a mild anti-anxiety medication during his high school years, which he was gradually weaned off of during his senior year. At a college social event, he consumed methamphetamine with a girl he was interested in and subsequently purchased more. In the middle of the semester, he began hearing voices, which caused him great distress. A college acquaintance informed him that the methamphetamine was not the root cause of his problem, but rather a tool used by MKUltra honeypots on campus to indoctrinate nervous men into a mind control program. The acquaintance suggested that Marty consider himself a double agent if he had the courage to speak out against these agents, who were armed with a Voice to Skull generator. The Havana Syndrome "scare" has created a unique space on social media for young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis. Marty's paranoia is further fueled by his college friend's comments, as well as his distrust of the intelligence community following the Abugraib and Guantanamo scandals, as well as the constant news cycle about corrupt politicians. Marty's online search for information on mind control, MK Ultra, and weaponized sound leads him to a website created by others who hear voices and believe that they are not mentally ill, but rather "Targeted Individuals" (TI). Marty joins an online group of individuals who hear voices and is advised by several members not to take any medication. Their shared suffering, which is caused by neuroweapons, is their common cause. Marty is invited to attend an anti-mind control rally that demands an end to the use of "psychotronic weapons" on American citizens. During Christmas, when his sister inquires about his college experience, Marty confesses that he is failing due to being targeted by a secret deep state torture program and warns her that she may be next if she tells anyone.
