The algorithmic systems, designed to prioritize engagement, perpetuate this cycle by continuously presenting related content.Given their comprehensive data analytics and user behavior monitoring, social media companies likely had knowledge of these effects. Failure to address this constitutes a breach of ethical and legal obligations.This matter does not concern regulating beliefs but whether corporations profited from exploiting vulnerable populations.
