DARIUS - It was really the main point of the weapons. The rest of it was smoke and mirrors to keep the Proxy occupied while we tinkered with histamines, hormones and calcium ion cascades.

DARIUS - It was grotesque. And pussy boy here refused to take photos of it ..Can you imagine? We made Denny like the ugliest man on earth. Not once but over and over and over again and he refused to pick up a phone or camera to record it .

CORNEL -You wanted to gauge responses to - as you say 'Your Boys" poisoned with any number of substances that altered their faces. Sometimes it was not electrocueticals or radioactive dye but just viruses...meant to cause boils ..

DARIUS - The face means everything in terms of human behavior. It's the first thing we see and the first thing we respond to .Marriages are based on looks. Friendships. LEADERSHIP above all...All of this was rather carefully explained to Denny.

CORNEL - Explained to him how?

DARIUS - With a little thing we use called Voice to Skull sound ..so we can communicate with the boys in a manner that ( to denny ) should have ! EMPHASIZED! how very covert the operation was.

CORNEL - So Denny was what Darius? A spy ?

DARIUS - He was in a sense - yes- a spy. He was testing tech we might use on spies.

Do you have any idea how many of our boys came back after World War 1 disfigured . denny of course didn't care. No , Denny was not a spy. He was research subject to help us understand how people are effected by appearance. Sway is what we were trying to study . ( to Denny ) How for instance a Communist ! Or a Good Looking ISIS member might use looks to recruit others. Sometimes Denny looked very good . If he wasn't attractive we'd have no comparative variable.

CORNEL - Most of this 'spy work" had to do with local merchants. And you using the shops own CCTV cameras and "men in the field" to study a cashier or worker's reaction to Denny looking many different ways over the year.

DARIUS - yes. It was my job.

CORNEL - Once you got the data. Repulsion when Denny looked hideous . For lack of a better word 'complicity " as in " I like you better" - you engage me somehow more " why didn't you stop? I mean how many -shades of reaction- did you need to understand this.
